Washing Embroidered Items |
|
Before embroidering If you think an item will be laundered, you should pre-wash before embroidering. Tumble dry warm, then press smooth. Do not push with the iron, as this could stretch the fabric. Steam shrink cut-away stabilizer, just to be sure. After embroidering, a little spray sizing will help restore that fresh, new look. After embroidering Do not leave embroidered items soaking. Do not wring out the embroidered area. If the item will need to be washed in hot water or with bleach (baby items, towels, clothes for dirty jobs), use polyester thread instead of rayon.
